My name is Maria Bazhenova, I am originally Russian but I live in Switzerland and go to university in England, Durham University to be specific! I can speak four languages: English, Russian, French and Italian. I have been playing tennis my whole life and love exploring new places! I attended a school in Switzerland where I studied the International Baccalaureate (IB) and completed it and earned the diploma. I then did a one year course at a university business school in London which I received a first class standing in. I am currently a student at Durham University, about to enter my second year after completing my first year, and I am studying Accounting and Finance.

Hi! I am a friendly and supportive tutor specialising in Biology A-level/ GCSE, and Chemistry GCSE. I achieved A* AA in these subjects at A level and have experience tutoring students within school. I studied AQA exam boards for Biology and Chemistry, and Edexcel for Maths. My sessions will focus on building confidence and understanding by using past exam questions as examples to highlight key concepts and how to approach them during exams. During the sessions, we will work through topics that you may struggle on together and practice with exam-style questions so you’re fully prepared. The topics we cover will be completely led by you, so that you get the most out of our time together. I am flexible in my teaching style, so if you learn better other ways, for example mind maps, I am more than happy to do this. Between sessions, I will set small tailored tasks to reinforce what we have covered and help revision, which we will then review together. Hi! I’m Mehmood, 19 years old and currently studying medicine (MBBS) at Hull York Medical School. While I absolutely love studying, I have many other passions that burn just as brightly — I’m into sports, gym, and cycling, and I’m always open to trying new ones! During my medical school application, I achieved a UCAT score of 2750 Band 1, securing four medical school interviews and ultimately firming Hull York Medical School—where I am currently studying medicine (MBBS).
