Hi, I’m Arthi, a medical student at Queen Mary University of London with a strong passion for teaching. I specialise in tutoring Biology, Sciences, and Maths at all educational levels, and I’m committed to helping students build confidence, improve understanding, and reach their academic goals. My teaching is calm, structured, and adapted to each student’s pace and learning style. I completed both the IGCSEs and the IB Diploma, gaining a solid grounding in scientific and quantitative subjects. These programmes taught me how to break down complex ideas clearly — something I bring directly into my lessons. I also have experience with the UCAT, and have scored over 3000. My tutoring focuses on strengthening foundations, simplifying difficult topics, and improving exam skills through practice, active recall, and efficient revision strategies. I enjoy helping students who want to improve their grades, build confidence, or develop a clearer approach to studying science and maths. I also offer guidance for medical school applications, including personal statements, UCAT and interviews. I completed seven IGCSEs in India, achieving top scores in science and maths. I completed my IB Diploma Programme in London, undertaking triple sciences and HL Maths and achieved a score of 38. I am currently a first year medical student in Queen Mary University of London.

I’m a first-year medical student at UCL, and I studied Biology, Chemistry and Maths at A-level (plus an EPQ), achieving 4 A*s, as well as all A*s at GCSE. I know how challenging these subjects can feel, so I aim to make things clearer and less overwhelming. In my lessons, I focus on helping students actually understand the content rather than just memorising it. I like to break topics down into simple steps and explain things in a way that makes sense for you. I also help with exam technique, so you know how to use what you’ve learned to get the best grades. I completed my secondary education at Colchester County High School for Girls (CCHSG), a selective grammar school, where I studied from Year 7 through to Year 13. During this time, I achieved all A*s at GCSE and went on to take A-levels in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics, alongside an EPQ, achieving 4 A*s. This gave me a strong academic foundation, particularly in the sciences and maths. I am currently a first-year medical student at University College London, where I continue to build on my knowledge of Biology and Chemistry in much greater depth, as well as applying problem-solving and analytical skills developed through Maths. For tutoring, I specialise in GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Maths. Having gone through these exams myself, I understand both the content and the exam techniques needed to achieve top grades, and I’m familiar with common areas students struggle with.

Hello my names is Chandy ! Learning a language should be exciting, not intimidating — and that’s exactly how my lessons feel. I’ve lived in six different countries, worked in both education and the business world, and I bring that international energy straight into my classes. I’m a native French speaker with a big love for Spanish language and Hispanic culture, so you’ll learn real, useful language — the kind people actually speak — along with the cultural tips that make you sound natural. I’m known for being extremely patient, but don’t worry, I’ll also encourage you (nicely!) to step outside your comfort zone and grow fast. My lessons are dynamic, supportive, and tailored to you — no boring drills, no pressure. Just progress, confidence, and plenty of “aha!” moments. Learn with me, and I promise your French or Spanish will go through the roof — and you’ll have fun getting there too 🚀 I am a qualified Modern Foreign Languages teacher with a strong international academic background. I hold a PGCE with QTS in MFL, which underpins my professional practice in secondary and adult education. I also completed a Master’s degree in Strategic Marketing in Leeds, complementing my teaching profile with a solid understanding of communication, strategy, and the business environment. My undergraduate studies include a Bachelor’s degree in European Business Management in Reims, providing me with a multidisciplinary and multilingual foundation. I obtained my Baccalaureate in Economics in Munich, further strengthening my academic and cultural international exposure.

I have worked as a lecturer at De Montfort University for over 15 years. I hold a PGCE in further Education, an MA in English Language Teaching, and a BA honours in English. I taught English for Academic Purposes at university. This enabled me to develop various teaching approaches at different levels of English usage. I have also taught KS3-KS5 in the UK and abroad during which I have been observed several times and demonstrated that I was outstanding. I have used various teaching aids ranging from pictures, flash cards, to a variety of IT techniques. I have also used peer interaction and assessment to develop learners. Teaching at university enabled me to teach presentation skills. This has enabled me to do the same during training, coaching and mentoring sessions with colleagues. I have mentored a number of tutors. In my experience as a university lecturer I have used a variety of online platforms to teach students during the Covid-19 pandemic. I began my journey into English in 2002 when I did a BA (hons) in English at Demontfort university. Following this I did an MA in Children’s Literature in 2005 due to my immense love of reading. However, it was only when I landed a job at a resources centre that I decided to specialize in teaching and so I did a PGCE in education and an MA in English language teaching both in 2007-2009. I absolutely love teaching since then - as cliche as it sounds it is truly my passion and the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. I love my students and to see them excel truly makes me content. I’ve been told that I have a gift for building a rapport with learners and I to feel this is something that comes naturally to me because as a student I myself struggled with being misunderstood and branded as a ‘bad student’. I feel as a result I can relate to students and their struggles more easily. I’m also very patient and an excellent listener.
