Hello, I teach English Literature and Sociology, both at GCSE and A Level. My name is Innes and I am currently in my third year of studying Sociology with Criminology, at York University. I am a positive and enthusiastic individual, who is dedicated to making learning fun and interactive. I will tailor each lesson to the individual's personal academic goals. I am patient and understanding and want to motivate each student to engage positively with our lessons. I have four A levels in Sociology, Philosophy and Ethics, History and English Literature. I am currently in my third year of my Undergraduate Degree at York University. I have GCSE's in English Language, English Literature, Religious Studies, Graphic Design, Geography, History, Maths, Science and Finance. The reason that I chose to study Mathematics is that I strongly believe that the idea of starting with a collection of simple postulates, combined with chains of logical reasoning, and the ability to derive nearly any complex mathematical theorem allows Mathematics to pose as the essence of our everyday lives. My ability to problem-solve will be directly beneficial in communicating difficult concepts and constructing logical arguments for different approaches for problems that students may find challenging. As I have recently completed A-Levels, I am very familiar with the A-Level Mathematics exams, along with the specific topics and skills required to succeed in them. Having experienced difficulties with teachers and hardships with studying techniques personally during my A-Levels, I am dedicated to tailor lessons to a teaching-style that is enjoyable and efficient to create the best learning experience for each student.
