ABOUT ME I have a deep interest in history, human and physical geography, anthropology, technology, architecture and engineering. I especially enjoy the history and geography of languages and language families. In my free time I am a keen traveler, audiophile and technophile, with a love for all kinds of technologies, analogue and digital, new and old. Thanks to COVID I learnt a lot of DIY skills by necessity. My house also has a garden full of fruit trees, so I guess that would make me an amateur gardener by default. I try to keep fit by cycling when possible, but my favourite sport is swimming. I tend to teach students aged 14+, so from Year 9 to Year 13 or older, but I do have a few students younger than this. I cover mainly GCSE's and A-level's, as well as TEFL English for any age if these students happen to come up. I use a variety of teaching approaches, ranging from traditional methods of text analysis to modern forms of teaching, such as interactive quizzes, questionairres and even YouTube videos if they benefit the students learning style. Hello, I'm George! I recently graduated with a First Class Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Natural Sciences, and I work as a Science and Spanish Teacher. Science is all around us we live and breathe it every day and understanding chemical processes helps us to understand the world better, and that's why I love it. The classes I excelled in were always the ones I enjoyed the most and this was largely influenced by my teachers and professors. Hi there! I have over 4 years experience tutoring a range of subjects. My specialties are maths, physics, chemistry and Spanish, which I've mostly taught at A-Level and GCSE tiers. I have a BA in mathematics which I studied alongside tutoring, so I can appreciate teaching from both sides of the classroom. Much of my experience revolves around helping students to prepare for exams, and working through past papers together is an invaluable tool for this. I'm also very passionate about my subjects, with STEM I've always had a deep personal interest in how the Universe works, and I've always loved Spain and seeing how the logic in different languages works. I enjoy explaining what I know to others, which puts me in a good position to be a tutor. It's also great to see students progressing over time.
