Hi there! I’m Ekom, and I’m so excited to help you reach your academic goals! With a background in Psychology, I’ve been lucky enough to work with students of all levels, from those who need a little extra boost to those aiming to go above and beyond. My tutoring style is all about making learning engaging and tailored to you. I love breaking down tricky concepts into simple, easy-to-understand pieces, and I love creating a comfortable space where you feel confident asking questions. My goal is to make sure you don’t just memorize the material, but really understand it and have fun doing it! I use a mix of different teaching methods because I know that everyone learns differently—whether you’re a visual learner, a hands-on problem solver, or someone who prefers real-world examples, I’ve got you covered. Over the years, I’ve helped many students improve their grades and, more importantly, build the confidence they need to tackle new challenges. There’s nothing more rewarding to me than seeing that “aha” moment when a tricky topic finally clicks! If you’re looking for a tutor who’s friendly, patient, and genuinely cares about helping you succeed, I’m your person. Let’s make learning a fun adventure together! I earned my degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from the University of Uyo, where I developed a deep understanding of both the scientific and psychological aspects of health and wellness. Following my graduation, I specialized in Psychiatry Pharmacy, working in a hospital setting where I collaborated closely with mental health professionals to support patients dealing with various psychological challenges. This experience allowed me to gain hands-on knowledge of how psychological principles apply in clinical practice, bridging the gap between theory and real-world application. In addition to my practical experience, I have earned certifications in Clinical Psychology and Social Psychology, which have further expanded my understanding of the human mind and behavior. These certifications have given me a solid foundation in areas like cognitive behavior, emotional regulation, personality theories, and the social influences on behavior. This blend of knowledge helps me to offer a well-rounded tutoring experience that caters to both academic understanding and practical insights. My background enables me to break down complex psychological concepts into engaging, easy-to-understand lessons. I focus on helping my students develop a deep understanding of the subject, whether they are preparing for exams, tackling challenging topics, or simply wanting to explore Psychology. With my expertise and enthusiasm, I am dedicated to guiding students toward academic success and a greater appreciation of Psychology.
