¡Hola! Soy María José, tengo 23 años y soy graduada en Química. Siento una gran vocación por la enseñanza y me apasiona dar clases y aprender junto a mis alumnos. Soy una persona cercana, confiable y responsable a la vez que extrovertida y simpática. Soy graduada en Química, grado impartido por la Universidad de Cádiz. Actualmente estudio un máster de preparación del Profesorado para trabajar en institutos. Anteriormente me gradué de bachillerato de modalidad científica con excelencia y poseo un nivel de Inglés de B1 otorgado por Cambridge.

Planificación de clases de forma que se oriente más a la resolución de problemas o ejercicios de selección múltiple. Explicaciones teórícas y resolución de problemas de forma claro haciendo uso de ejercicios, ejemplos y demostraciones para afianzar la comprensión de los temas y generar retentiva respecto a los conceptos. Uso de recursos audiovisuales, como videos, simulaciones y juegos para incentivar la participación en los estudiantes. Fomento de autonomía por parte de los estudiantes a repasar y estudiar por su cuenta para integrarse de manera efectiva a su vida universitaria. Organización de sesiones de repaso con el fin afianzar conocimientos y abordar áreas que los estudiantes encuentren desafiantes, para luego realizar retroalimentación con los estudiantes sobre que temas deben orientar su autoaprendizaje. Estudié Ingeniería Física en la Universidad Nacional de Colombia, donde aprendí sobre modelado, simulación y análisis de sistemas físicos. También adquirí habilidades de programación en lenguajes como Python y Visual Basic, lo que me ha ayudado a resolver problemas y analizar datos de manera eficiente. Antes de la universidad, estudié en la Escuela Normal Superior, donde me formé en técnicas de enseñanza y planificación de clases. Esta mezcla de formación técnica y pedagógica me permite explicar los temas de manera clara y ayudar a los estudiantes a conectar la teoría con la práctica.

I am a 31 year old Ugandan currently residing in Pontevedra, Spain. I speak fluent English because I am a native speaker, but also speak Spanish, and understand Galician. I am available Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur, and Fri (16:00, to and 21:00), Sat and Sun (10:00-19:00). I like reading, listening to music, watching movies, playing video games, cycling, hiking, and playing chess. I am currently an English Language Assistant in Vigo, and I have more than 4 years experience of teaching English. I teach indivuals within this given age range (12-60). My methods are more practical, but can also be theoretical. Sometimes I make a presentation, play a game, read a passage, do exercises, and other times I play a YouTube video about the topic I want to teach, and then ask questions after. I have good explanations together with practical examples, and I am patient, and empathetic with my students. I push the student to maximize his or her potential. I have also studied Public Health at the university. I have exceptional experience in preventive medicine, health sciences, research methods, and anything to do with health. I am good at information technology, and using computer programs. I am also good at using Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, and Word).
