I hold a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering, where I honed problem-solving skills and discovered a passion for teaching as a part-time tutor in Chemistry, Math, Science, and Physics. With six years of experience as an engineer in a Japanese multinational company, I’ve had the opportunity to live in Japan, Thailand, and Germany. Chatting with people from all walks of life? Currently, I teach KS3 / GCSE / IGCSE Maths for SATs, AQA, OCR, Edexcel, and CAIE exam boards. I use resources from Pearson, Hodder, Cambridge, Oxford, Collins, Haese, and past papers as reference materials. I also teach Maths and Physics for the MYP and IB Diploma Programme. Throughout elementary and high school, I eagerly represented my school in Math and English (Extemporaneous speech, broadcasting, editorial writing) competitions, which provided me with intensive training and a strong affinity for the subjects. With my engineering background, I also have a solid foundation in college level Physics. Finally, I have Japanese Language Proficiency N3 Level, so I can teach N5-N4 level Japanese to those who are interested in this language.

Actualmente estoy terminando mi pregrado en Física y a mediados de otro en matemáticas. Mis intereses principales son la Ciencia de Datos, la Astronomía y la Programación. El conocimiento es algo que me apasiona profundamente, pero hay algo que disfruto aún más: compartirlo. Soy un apasionado por la enseñanza y pienso que la educación es una herramienta poderosa que cambia vidas y transforma sociedades. Con esto como motivación, me esmero por compartir mi conocimiento de la forma más clara y disfrutable posible, buscando influir en mis alumnos y plantar en ellos las semillas de el conocimiento y la curiosidad. Mi trayectoria académica ha sido sumamente enriquecedora, motivada por una pasión por el conocimiento y el desarrollo de nuevas habilidades que he cultivado desde muy joven. Este amor por el aprendizaje me permitió destacar desde temprana edad y obtener la oportunidad de estudiar en una de las mejores universidades de mi país. Poseo un título técnico que completé simultáneamente con mi bachillerato, tras lo cual ingresé a la Universidad de los Andes en Colombia para estudiar Física y Matemáticas. Además, de manera autodidacta, he profundizado en campos como la programación, la ciencia de datos y la astronomía. Mi sed de conocimiento sigue siendo inmensa, y espero continuar formándome en diversas áreas del saber.

Hello, I’m Rainah, an educator since 2015 with a passion for teaching Mathematics. I’ve taught students from elementary to tertiary levels, including online classes for US-based learners. Additionally, I’ve authored two books under MSA Publishing: Math Olympiad Reviewer and Elementary Algebra Workbook, designed to help students excel in mathematics. I’ve also held leadership roles, including serving as General Education Program Head and Senior High School Assistant Principal. My mission as an educator is to foster an engaging and supportive learning environment that inspires growth and critical thinking. Teaching is more than a profession to me—it’s my calling, and I am committed to empowering my students to reach their full potential. I hold a Bachelor of Secondary Education, majoring in Mathematics. I am a licensed professional teacher and TEFL certified, which allows me to teach students from diverse backgrounds. I chose to become a math teacher because of my deep passion for the subject and the joy I find in helping students discover its beauty and real-world applications. Teaching, for me, is the best option as it allows me to inspire and shape the minds of the next generation while fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills that extend beyond the classroom.
