Hi! I’m Catherine Solomon, a tutor passionate about turning tricky concepts into “aha!” moments. I teach Chemistry, Math, Science, Physics, and English, breaking down complex topics into simple steps. My goal is to create a positive space where learning is fun, clear, and rewarding! I hold a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering, where I honed problem-solving skills and discovered a passion for teaching as a part-time tutor in Chemistry, Math, Science, and Physics. I’ve also taught English to diverse learners, helping students confidently achieve their academic goals.

Soy profesional de dos carreras universitarias en la Universidad Central de Venezuela. Adicionalmente, me certifiqué como Bilingüe en Inglés en una academia reconocida de Venezuela y he tenido la oportunidad de enseñar internacionalmente a grupos de todas las edades. He ayudado a mis alumnos en su preparación para exámenes oficiales.

I have learned and taught several subjects during the pandemic in order to help the learners around my community to obtain learning despite the situation. I have dealt with diverse learners and it made become an enthusiast to those who are struggling to learn. I can directly assess what their learning needs are, and that is how I personalize my teaching materials. I am very passionate at teaching because I love the way I impart my knowledge to my learners, especially when I get the chance to learn from them as well. It is my goal to make learning easy and fun so expect that there will be no boring sessions with me. I studied Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in English. As of this moment, I am currently taking my master’s education which is English Language Teaching. Throughout those years, I believe I have gained skills and experiences relevant to teaching. I have developed dynamic teaching strategies that makes my lessons fun and engaging.

Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in Turkey, teaching both children and adults, which has given me valuable experience in a variety of teaching settings. My journey as an educator has allowed me to connect with students from diverse backgrounds and different language proficiency levels, helping them build confidence and fluency in English. I hold a degree in English Language Teaching from Pamukkale University. My academic journey has been both rewarding and informative, providing me with the foundation to pursue my passion for teaching. Throughout my studies, I explored a range of subjects, from linguistics and language acquisition to pedagogy and educational psychology. This knowledge allows me to design lessons that are effective and engaging for my students. During my time at Pamukkale University, I developed a deep understanding of different teaching methods and how to adapt them to suit various learning styles. I gained valuable hands-on experience through teaching practice, working with students of varying ages and proficiency levels. This exposure helped me build a versatile teaching style, enabling me to meet the unique needs of each learner.
