My journey began at the Lebanese American University, where I pursued an Engineering Degree, leading to global experiences across Belgium at deSter and Germany with the BMW Group. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I returned Home to support my family while securing a role at Reailize, a leading US telecom company, which fueled my passion for the industry. In 2022, I transitioned into Business Development, leveraging my technical expertise to drive innovation, connect with clients, and deliver impactful solutions. Throughout my academic journey, I was deeply involved in tutoring and mentoring university students, specializing in Advanced Statistics, Deterministic Operations Research, Project Management, Network Flow, and Engineering Economy. My passion for education extended beyond LAU, as I have been teaching for over 10 years, covering a range of subjects from Engineering and Business courses to English. Following my graduation, I joined BMW Munich for a one-year graduate program as a Machine Learning and Optimization Engineer, gaining valuable international exposure. I started this journey in 2019, and completed it this September 2024. I earned my degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in Mathematics, in 2018. During my time there, I was a Dean’s Lister, demonstrating my passion and dedication to academic excellence. I graduated as Class Valedictorian during my Elementary and Secondary School. In terms of experience, I’ve been teaching as a Senior High School Teacher II since October 2021. I’ve had the opportunity to handle various subjects, including Mathematics, Practical Research, and Accounting related subjects. Before this, I had a brief stint as a substitute teacher in September 2021, and I also taught for three years at Jose Rizal Institute from 2018 to 2021, teaching Mathematics to both junior and senior high school students. I have already attended various trainings and seminars in Mathematics. Aside from that, I won different competitions in Mathematics, the recent was as a winning coach for National Olympiad and set to compete in International Olympiad. Hi, I’m Stephen, a passionate and determined educator who loves learning and sharing that enthusiasm with others. I strive to create a learning space filled with curiosity and wonder, whether in literature or the sciences, helping students explore, question, and grow. Watching my students progress step by step and reach new heights is what drives me as a teacher. Outside of teaching, I’m a gamer, a photographer, and a farmer. Lately, I’ve also been diving into writing, exploring storytelling as another way to inspire and create. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology, majoring in microbiology. Throughout my studies, I had multiple opportunities to tutor others, which sparked my passion for education. Later, I branched out into teaching English to ESL students, where I found great fulfillment in helping learners grow in confidence and communication.
