Hi, I’m Ernan! With over 20 years of math tutoring experience and a Bachelor’s in Applied Mathematics, I specialize in helping students at the GCSE and A-level. My passion for math extends beyond teaching—I’ve applied mathematical principles to game design, making complex concepts engaging and accessible. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my eight dogs and incorporating my love for music into lessons to make learning fun. I hold a Bachelor's in Applied Mathematics with a focus on Actuarial Science and have extensive experience in both teaching and practical math applications. Since 2000, I've tutored subjects from primary math to advanced topics like algebra, trigonometry, geometry, statistics, and calculus both in-person and online. I also teach other subjects including Biology, Physics, and Geography. My career also includes roles as a Game Mathematician and Slot Designer, where I developed mathematical models for slot games, as well as experience as a Software Engineer and Actuarial Assistant. With certifications in Computational Finance, TEFL, and various Microsoft and Google programs, I bring a broad range of expertise. Let’s work together to make math both engaging and accessible!

I earned my degree in Secondary Education major in English, which deepened my understanding of both language and teaching methodologies. Throughout my studies, I explored diverse literary genres, effective communication techniques, and the importance of fostering critical thinking. I also learned how to design inclusive lesson plans that cater to the unique needs of each student, empowering them to excel academically and develop a lifelong love for learning.

Bonjour! Je m'appelle Elsa et je suis tutrice en français chez Gostudent depuis 3 ans. J'ai aidé plus d'une trentaine d'élèves, dont beaucoup ont progressé tout au long de l'année et obtenu leurs diplômes! Je suis professeure de français langue étrangère, également et je peux donner, des cours de soutien en français, dans des associations, aux enfants, adolescents et adultes. Je suis passionnée de voyages (je dis toujours que je passerai ma vie à voyager si je le pouvais), j'aime beaucoup apprendre les langues étrangères (je parle 3 langues), et enfin, j'aime aussi l'histoire, surtout l'égyptologie, l'antiquité romaine et grecque, et... Astérix et Obélix, Disney (il n'y a pas d'âge!) Je suis une personne très patiente, très à l'écoute, très active avec mes élèves; d'un naturel jovial, dynamique, j'ai un réel plaisir pour l'enseignement et mes cours se déroulent, tous, dans la bienveillance! Mes cours se déroulent comme ceci : Avec un élève nouveau, s'agissant d'un premier contact, je ferai une sorte de bilan dans toutes les matières du français, afin de vérifier son niveau. A la suite de cela, j'établirais un programme pour l'aider à s'améliorer. Avec un élève régulier, nous avancerons sur le programme que je lui aurais déjà établi, reviendrons sur des points qui lui semblent difficiles, ferons ses devoirs scolaires si besoin ou bien réviserons ensemble une évaluation scolaire. Je précise aussi que je suis disponible pour tous, même après les cours! Alors n'hésitez pas à me poser vos questions via whatsapp (un vocal ou un message) et j'y répondrai avec plaisir! Le plus important pour moi? La bonne santé pour tous mais également que tous mes élèves réussissent! Alors à bientôt peut-être! :) J'ai obtenu, il y a quelques mois, un certificat d'aptitude à l'enseignement du Français Langue Etrangère, qui atteste que je peux enseigner la langue française à un public étranger. Mais je dispense aussi des cours de soutien en français aux enfants, adolescents et adultes (le programme en FLE étant similaire au français scolaire). Je dispose également d'une très bonne aisance en langue française : j'ai passé une certification en français (certification Le Robert) où j'ai obtenu un excellent score de 820/1000. Le français n'a donc aucun secret pour moi! Avant cela, j'avais obtenu un baccalauréat technologique en action et communication administratives et un brevet de technicien supérieur en assistanat de direction; mais j'ai souhaité me tourner vers l'enseignement, ayant toujours gravité dans les centres de formation. Mais l'enseignement est vraiment ma passion : j'aime transmettre des savoirs, partager mes astuces pour faire progresser mes élèves!
