Hi there! I’m Lorraine Llagas 👩‍🏫 A Passionate Educator. I’ve spent several years in the teaching profession, with most of my career dedicated to teaching Philosophy at the tertiary level. For the past 8 years, I’ve been sharing my love for Social Science with senior high school students. Outside the classroom, I’m passionate about lifelong learning and personal growth. I enjoy seeking new knowledge and skills, diving into various genres of books, striving for self-improvement, staying active and healthy, and exploring new places and cultures. 🎓 My Educational Journey Graduated from the University of Sto. Ciao, sono Laura e ho 24 anni. Ho studiato inglese e spagnolo al liceo linguistico. Ho trascorso il quarto anno di liceo negli Stati Uniti dove ho frequentato il liceo e vissuto con una famiglia americana, perfezionando così il mio inglese. Ho proseguito i miei studi all’università di mediazione linguistica con indirizzo di interpretariato e traduzione studiando inglese, spagnolo, tedesco e un pò di giapponese. Ho seguito inoltre vari corsi di spagnolo e la certificazione C1 di inglese. Faccio ripetizioni da ormai 4 anni a bambini delle elementari, ragazzi di medie e superiori e anche adulti che vogliono imparare la lingua da zero. Ho lavorato per circa un anno in un centro specializzato di aiuto compiti e ripetizioni e ho seguito ragazzi DSA. Amo viaggiare e scoprire nuove culture e modi di vivere. Ho sempre amato le lingue fin da bambina e questo mi ha portato a scegliere i miei studi. Mi piace insegnare e trasmettere le mie conoscenze agli altri in un modo semplice e divertente. Ho studiato inglese e spagnolo per 3 anni alla scuola media. Ho frequentato un corso avanzato di spagnolo nel 2014. Ho studiato 5 anni al liceo linguistico inglese, spagnolo, tedesco. Ho frequentato un liceo americano per un anno in Oregon, USA, nel 2017. Ho conseguito il C1 Advanced nel 2018. Mi sono laureata in Mediazione linguistica nel 2021 con inglese, spagnolo e tedesco.

I teach Trigonometry and Geometry. I also conduct lectures for Mechanical engineering students so I can teach engineering related physics such as mechanics, dynamics, kinematics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer. Preferred age group: KS3, College/University level Languages: I am fluent in English and I can speak a little Japanese. My background: I am a practicing Mechanical Engineer and I have University lecturing experience. More than theoretical concepts, I can also cover practical problems applying the use of math, physics, or combined STEM subjects. Hobbies: I like sports, gaming, charcoal painting, and anime. I am an enthusiast of VR technology and I actively play VR games in my Quest 2 VR console. I am a relaxed and fun teacher. I believe that learning should be fun and a student should not be under strict pressure all the time. For me, learning is a two-way communication process, I need to understand the student first before the student can understand my lesson. I create interactive learning activities and I find ways to make learning easier for every student. Lastly, I guide students to reach their learning goals and further equip them with knowledge that will be useful for their future career. I have a diploma in Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. I studied my degree in Bulacan State University. I passed the Licensure Exam for Mechanical Engineering and I am currently a practicing Licensed Mechanical Engineer. I worked as a Technical Service Engineer in Copeland(Emerson) for over two years. I honed my critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills in this job. I also lectured in the College of Engineering of Bulacan State University for more than 2 years. I taught engineering courses and applied the concepts of various STEM subjects such as physics, algebra, trigonometry, geometry, and calculus.
