Hi, I’m Cherry Mae Quijano, a passionate educator with a deep love for mathematics. I strive to make complex concepts accessible and enjoyable for my students. My mission is to foster critical thinking, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning. I focus on creating a student-centered environment where every individual feels valued and empowered to achieve their fullest potential. I hold a bachelor’s in secondary education, majoring in mathematics, and am pursuing a master’s in education. I teach general mathematics and statistics with a focus on active participation and critical thinking. Beyond the classroom, I mentor students, coach for competitions, and foster a growth mindset. My goal is to inspire curiosity and empower students.

Sono una persona molto empatica e sensibile alle loro esigenze e ho la convizione che ognuno di loro abbia la capacità' di eccellere, con il giusto aiuto ma anche attraverso la comprensione e l'ascolto. I teach Trigonometry and Geometry. I also conduct lectures for Mechanical engineering students so I can teach engineering related physics such as mechanics, dynamics, kinematics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer. Preferred age group: KS3, College/University level Languages: I am fluent in English and I can speak a little Japanese. My background: I am a practicing Mechanical Engineer and I have University lecturing experience. More than theoretical concepts, I can also cover practical problems applying the use of math, physics, or combined STEM subjects. Hobbies: I like sports, gaming, charcoal painting, and anime. I am an enthusiast of VR technology and I actively play VR games in my Quest 2 VR console. I am a relaxed and fun teacher. I believe that learning should be fun and a student should not be under strict pressure all the time. For me, learning is a two-way communication process, I need to understand the student first before the student can understand my lesson. I create interactive learning activities and I find ways to make learning easier for every student. Lastly, I guide students to reach their learning goals and further equip them with knowledge that will be useful for their future career. I have a diploma in Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. I studied my degree in Bulacan State University. I passed the Licensure Exam for Mechanical Engineering and I am currently a practicing Licensed Mechanical Engineer. I worked as a Technical Service Engineer in Copeland(Emerson) for over two years. I honed my critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills in this job. I also lectured in the College of Engineering of Bulacan State University for more than 2 years. I taught engineering courses and applied the concepts of various STEM subjects such as physics, algebra, trigonometry, geometry, and calculus.

Sono laureata magistrale con lode in filologia del mondo antico presso la Sapienza di Roma. Ho conseguito anche il titolo triennale in Lettere Classiche presso La Sapienza di Roma dopo la maturità classica con indirizzo Beni Culturali e Storia dell'Arte.Ho inoltre sostenuto tutti gli esami della laurea triennale in Lettere Moderne, non conseguendo però il titolo a causa della stessa classe di laurea della Facoltà in cui sono laureata. Impartisco ripetizioni di tutte le materie umanistiche (latino,greco,storia,italiano,storia dell'arte,filosofia) per scuole di qualsiasi ordine e grado. Impartisco inoltre ripetizioni per esami universitari del corso triennale ( metrica greca e latina,latino 1 e 2 per Lettere Moderne e Letteratura Musica e Spettacolo ecc).Sono disponibile inoltre ad insegnare le mie materie dalle basi e a lavorare con persone adulte che hanno voglia e coraggio di rimettersi in gioco!
