During my time at BCC, I actively engaged in professional development by attending impactful seminars, including "The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth", which focused on personal and professional growth strategies, and "Seminar on Researched-Based Learning Using Spreadsheets", which emphasized integrating technology into education. Additionally, I participated in the "Seminar on Inquiry-Based Learning Using GeoGebra in Teaching Algebra and Geometry", which enhanced my ability to apply innovative and interactive teaching methods in mathematics. Beyond academics, I represented my school in the 16th Statistical Analysis Contest for College Students held in Iloilo City, an experience that honed my analytical and problem-solving skills. My specialization areas include teaching both Kids and Adults, with a focus on Grammar and Vocabulary, Phonics, and Travel English for real-world communication. I also excel in teaching Pronunciation, Test Preparation, Academic English, and Business English, tailored to meet diverse learner needs. My foundation in Mathematics further allows me to offer expertise in this field, ensuring that my teaching is precise, logical, and adaptable. Sono un laureato magistrale in Lettere moderne presso l'Università di Pisa e ho acquisito tutti i crediti necessari per l'insegnamento di Italiano, Latino, Storia e Geografia nelle scuole secondarie. Ho esperienza nel campo delle lezioni private, anche a studenti universitari. Ci tengo ad essere professionale, ad instaurare un rapporto amichevole con gli studenti, oltre che ad essere reperibile per dubbi o chiarimenti oltre l’orario di lezione, in modo da aiutare lo studente al meglio. Ho frequentato il Liceo Scientifico ad indirizzo ordinario, dove eccellevo nelle materie umanistiche. Dopodiché mi sono iscritto all'Università di Pisa, dove ho conseguito una laurea triennale in Lettere moderne e una laurea magistrale in Italianistica con il massimo dei voti.

La grande esperienza maturata in molti (davvero molti) anni di insegnamento di italiano, latino e italiano L2 prima nei licei scientifici e classici poi all'Università, in Italia e all’estero, è garanzia per i miei studenti di risultati brillanti e duraturi nel tempo. L’esperienza in ambito universitario consente un efficace tutoraggio nella redazione della tesi di laurea. Ho una formazione classica, mi sono laureata con 110/110 e Lode in Lettere Moderne ind. Filologico all’Università di Bologna e ho conseguito un Master in Didattica dell'Italiano come L2 all’Università di Padova. Ho frequentato anche molti corsi di perfezionamento. A Bruxelles, dove ho vissuto per nove anni, ho conseguito, presso l'Alliance Française, anche la certificazione linguistica di livello C1 relativamente alla conoscenza della lingua francese . ABOUT ME Hi, I’m Hermie. As an educator who loves to meet students from diverse backgrounds, I have had the opportunity to teach people from different countries and embrace their cultures. I'm an explorer who loves to travel and connect with nature. I put my utmost effort in making learning fun and engaging to all. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, which has given me a strong foundation in problem-solving, creativity, and analytical thinking. However, my passion for teaching led me to pursue a TESOL certification from the American TESOL Institute. This certification has equipped me with the specialized skills and methodologies needed to effectively conduct lessons. By combining my academic background and my TESOL training, I am able to approach teaching with a unique perspective, drawing on my diverse skill set to create engaging, structured lessons.
